    Definitely worth the drive.

Allen and Son's is OK, and I don't know Stephenson's, but Allen and Son's isn't as good as Wilber's, especially if you get hush puppies fresh from the fryer.

Contrary to popular belief, St. Louis is kind of a bbq wasteland. Unless you want a pork steak. Pork steak with Maul's sauce is the St. Louis tradition. Try Phil's BarBQ for that.

And I agree with the recommendation for Oklahoma Joe's. Make sure you visit the original location on 47th and Mission Rd rather than the newer one in Olathe.

The event I'm speaking at on Saturday is actually having lunch catered by Oklahoma Joe's. So I've got that covered. And Friday afternoon they are doing a BBQ Crawl for the speakers.

On the Raleigh front, I'm planning on lunch at Wilber's tomorrow. For tonight not sure what to do. The event I'm at doesn't wrap up until 5:30 and the game is at 7:30.

This place is right downtown and has good review. Might just do that.

                  How did Wilber's treat you?

Bogart's in Soulard is a great St Louis bbq joint. Try that if you have time. The owner likes to bet first timers that his stuff is better than the barbecue to be had wherever they're from. He pins his winnings to the wall.

I ate there in June. It's worth the visit. Good stuff and the prices aren't ridiculous.

The ribs were fantastic. Not a big fan of most of their sauces. Their house special is very vinegary ... almost Carolina style.
