  • I need a stuffed pepper recipe

I'm not a big fan of the stuffed peppers my mom made when I was a kid - Better Homes & Garden recipe green pepper w/ rice and hamburger...
Mrskccougar loves stuffed peppers though so I'd like to make them for her bithday. Does anyone have a good recipe?

    Ground beef
    Quinoa or couscous
    Cinnamon
    Oregano
    Raisins
    Pinenuts
Top with a paper thin slice of Mahon cheese

That sounds awesome except for the raisins.

Thanks. I was with you up until the pinenuts.

Well, it's fluid....mix and match to your liking. One thing I'd recommend is putting a cookie rack or something beneath the peppers because they give off a fair amount of liquid while cooking...this will keep them out of it and make them easier to remove from the baking dish.

            Good tip. Thanks.

May I come over for dinner that night too? I will bring your wife a gift and be a nice guest.
What's to explain? It's a bunch of people, most of whom you've never met, who are just as likely to be homicidal maniacs as they are to be normal everyday people, with whom you share the minutiae of your everyday life. It's totally normal, and everyone would understand.

Squirt a little canned cheese on it. That'll do the trick.

This sounds cool. What about subbing spicy eye-talian sausage for the ground beef? yum!

Come on over. I was planning on buying her a bounce flash for her camera, but if you bring the gift that will save me a trip to the store.

I'm leaning toward this recipe, but adding a small amount of mild italian sausage.

Feta seems like it would overwhelm the flavor of the peppers.

Absolutely. I'd do sausage but my wife doesn't care for anything but ground beef.

Which is a great thing in my mind, but something I ought to consider since the meal isn't for me.

My initial thought was to substitute some diced, sun-dried tomatoes in place of the raisins.
