Why would anyone living in the city or suburbs want to keep their own chickens? I've had fresh eggs. Used to get them all the time on my mission. I could taste no discernible difference. As cheap as eggs are, it doesn't seem to be worth the effort from a cost perspective. I just don't get it. Chickens are messy. Cleaning up shit sucks.

They're trying to teach their kids responsibility, the miracle of life, food production and all that good farm stuff without having to live on a farm.

One thing I have learned is chickens have personalities. That's shocking to me. I thought only mammals did.

I call BS on that one. Chickens are slow-moving vegetables.
