    Coach,

When you come down to the Land in September, take a short drive to Westminster, the pho capital of USA. Little Saigon and Charlie will take care of you. Wash it down with some of that blue or red slurpee goo and some nice boba. If it were not about 85 degrees out today, I think I would go for some tonight.

As we say here locally, Westminster is "Pho King--Awesome!"

PS...Hey Sipi....you going to spring scrimmage this Saturday at the Coliseum? I will be there with my son. Going to be fun to watch the QB battle.

I'm missing the spring game due to Mormon Helping Hands....bleh! I was at the scrimmage over the weekend; It looked to me that Corp has the spot locked down.

I think this Saturday is the finale, no?

It will be good to introduce my son to a world of outlaw bacon wrapped hot dogs, not the legal ones I make in our kitchen.

My mom is going, as is my brother and his 3 boys. It should be a fun day.

Thanks for the heads up, 3D. I had a Pho joke all typed up in my last post, but let it slip. Eminem would be so mad at me right now.

When it gets closer, let me know where you are staying because there are plenty of good pho places here in Irvine, as well, and not sketchy like parts of Westminster. They also have these meat-pie things that are a cross between a tamale and the manapua pokr buns you get in Hawaii. Very delish.

                I love Pho.

I just found a store that sells a starter kit so I can make it at home now. It's actually much better than I thought it would be. Nothing like some good pho with a lot of cock sauce.

Cock sauce! Now that's the name I was looking for...

Now I'm hungry for Vietnames food. Having an Asian wife and having spent so much of the last 5 years in Asia, I really find myself craving Asian food. Vietnames is vastly underrated. For the most part traditional American meat is almost boring now. Korean BBQ is my favorite. Yum.

In honor of this thread I had a big bowl of pho for lunch.

Coach, the restaurant is called "dew". Here is a review:

Falafel and I ate vietnamese yesterday with a group of friends. Hot soup didn't sound that appetizing at the time, so I ordered the bun thit nuong, which is basically vermicelli pasta with seared meat and fresh veggies, mixed with nuoc cham (a dressing made of water, rice wine vinegar, chili sauce, garlic, and a few other things). It did not disappoint.

Falafel stayed true to this thread, and had the pho with sliced beef.

That looks outstanding. I love Vietnamese food.

We make a dish very similar to that. The recipe is in this book:

                                http://www.amazon.com/Quick-Easy-Vie...1034158&sr=1-1

This is my favorite recipe book. Highly recommended.
