When I want something a little healthier than my previous recipe, or than the stuff you get at the store, I'll sometimes do this one. As far as dips go, it is pretty healthy, I think.

    - Cut up an onion into small pieces and cook on the stove until carmelized, or a little less if you aren't patient enough.
    - Put the onions in a food processor and mix up if you don't like onion chuncks in your dip.
    - Mix onions with a contaner of plain, Greek style yogurt, along with some salt, pepper, and whatever other spices feel right.
    - It it is thicker than you would like, you can thin it with a little buttermilk

You can also add the roasted garlis in this one, but I usually do this when I am in a bit more of a hurry, so I leave it out. You can put in a bit of garlic powder if desired.

I make salsa that we basically always have on hand. I am sure there are better ones out there, but my family likes it.

        8-10 roma tomatoes
        1 white onion
        1 bunch cilantro
        1 lemon juiced
        1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
        dash of salt
        4-5 shakes of Tapatio
        2 T garlic
        1-3 fresh jalapeƱos
You can throw in a habeƱero if you like it hotter.
Grind in food processor until desired consistency. Serve with Juanita's Tortilla Chips.

Why would I need a dip recipe when I can just buy Skotidakis Jalapeno Yogurt Dip from Costco.
