Most of my in-laws (and my wife too) at one time or another have worked for or do work for Hormel (my wife grew up in Austin, MN). Spam (loyalty to and the eating of) takes on almost religious significance for them. When my wife visits her home town without me she usually brings back somewhat less known Spam variations as a gift.Originally posted by Surfah View PostComment

I've spent my share of time at the plant; one of my "favorite" job was emptying the hog feces bucket from the truck wash. After the truckers dropped of the hogs, they cleaned their trucks. The waste would collect in this huge "buckets". We would bring in a front loader to move and empty the bucket.
