TJ's vegetarian corn dogs

My biggest problem with corn dogs are that the meat inside isn't cooked like I want it. It seems like they've been boiled (blech) or simply relying on the deep frying of the batter to cook them.

I'd love to have one where the hot dog is grilled and THEN dipped in the batter and deep fried.
