if it is a taco "cart," then I have a feeling I will like it. A lot.

      It is a cart.

It is owned and operated by a very nice man who speaks English as a 2nd language.

I ate at Mazza last night and found it underwhelming, to say the least. The hummus and baba ganooj (sp?) appetizer dips were good, but my entree (rice and lamb dolaa) was quite bad. The lamb was extremely bland, and the rice was undercooked and almost crunchy in parts. Also, the yogurt sauce had way too much lemon in it, completely overpowering the cucumber. In short, I think my first meal there will be my last.

Well based on your opinion of Mazza and your recommendation of Cedars of Lebanon, I'm just going to never trust your opinion on middle eastern food.

I've never raved about Cedars, but at least the rice was cooked both times I ate there. I realize that is a pretty high standard, but on some things I just won't budge.

I think that donut actually just had the misfortune of a bad meal...with that said, I would have to disagree with you on Cedars. Though not terrific, Cedars is not bad.

Mrs Funk and I went there and the food was bad and overpriced. Our favorite Lebanese place in Portland for the same food was half the cost and significantly better. donuthole didn't rave about it but did call it "pretty good." I thought it was really bad.

I have been to Cedars 3-4 times and have never been disappointed. The only thing I didn't care for was the baklava. But every other time my dishes have been pretty decent. Though, I am no expert on Lebanese food and have little to compare it to.
