  • Aldi: I admit it, I shop there. Cool items I have gotten there

This is for those of you who are not ashamed to admit you have shopped there and inform us of the cool items you have found. This is probably more of an east coast thing though..

This week we found some very delish items from Aldi. One is a Aldi version of Nutella called "Berryhills Hazelnut Spread". Cost. 1.99

    http://www.aldi.us/us/html/offers/28...9_ENU_HTML.htm

We also found a generic version of Ice Cream Drumstick that were a "triple Choclate" Drumstick. It had a Chocolate cone with Chocolate ice cream, dipped in chocolate and covered in crumbled oreo's.. Cost $1.94.

Sorry. Must of just been my store because I cannot find a picture of it...

Feel free to post if you shop here.....

If I am the only one who posts to this then I will just have to think the rest of you are to cowardly to post you shop there..

I routinely shop there (IE Weekly). I just don't care to let people know what deals I found.

            I love Aldi

Their stuff usually isn't "generic". Most often the brands you don't recognize are made by the same companies that make the branded products.

Weird store though. The first time I went there I didn't have a quarter for a cart and I didn't have bags for my groceries. I was a disaster and I am sure I annoyed the Aldi regulars that were shopping there.

I bought a space heater for 15 bucks there last winter. It cranked the heat!

I used to shop there as a missionary because that's all I could afford. I would have preferred to go to Dominick's or Jewel like all the rich people in the ward.

I remember buying saltines for $0.33. Lots of stuff scared me in there though. Perhaps it has improved a lot?

I'm an Aldi's fan. I shopped there almost every week on my mission, when I lived in Chicago, and when I lived in Columbus. (Also, shopped there once in the Netherlands).

My wife picked up a frozen spinach and garlic pizza with the self-rising crust that was $3.59 and was better than a $15 pizza. Delish.

We have also picked up various pool toys, a few Japanese Maples, cooking sheets, and tempted by a many grills.

                    We <3 Aldi's

unless they are running a special deal at meirers or kroger none of their milks will be less than $2 a gallon. The milk at Aldi is always $1.99

I don't know what Aldi's is, but we went to the 99-cent store here a couple of weeks ago. We decided to splurge and told the kids they could each get a toy. My 12-year-old said he wants a laser pointer. I told him he's not going to find a laser pointer at the 99-cent store. He found a laser pointer there for 99 cents.
