Like i told the group, don't hate. Just give it a try and then come back and discuss. And forget old_gregg's cough syrup anecdote, he is trying to play mind games!

My family has gone through a couple of these over the last few months. They have some other good flavors, too.

This is the most true statement. Since the Blue Bell famine started, I've been trying to find a vanilla to replace BB in the interim. Nothing even comes close. For Father's Day I was left having Dreyer's vanilla ice cream under my warm brownie and Leatherby's hot fudge

I don't understand buying vanilla ice cream. Either make some homemade, or buy a good flavor. Vanilla is boring.

When we were in Texas last month we saw a few t-shirts saying, "I survived the Bluebell drought of 2015".

                  • I think that I'm going to have to give Triplet's endorsement a try. I can't tell, but those cartons look suspiciously smaller than a half gallon. Worst trend.

I've got a gallon of Kirkland vanilla that I need to get through. The biggest issue with vanilla is that I feel like I need cake or brownies with it. Like BP says, boring.

Wife and I bought some of this last night. We were eating it straight from the container and we both thought it was OK, but didn't have near enough cherries. Then we realized there was a bowl of fresh cherries in front of us on the table. So we cut up a bunch and mixed them in and then it was ab-fab.

                              • Blue Bell is so overrated. Honestly it's comparable to something like In-N-Out. It's really good and iconic, but more than anything it was something locals could hang over the heads of everyone else. Now that it's available elsewhere it's just not that good.
