Creamy (or smooth as you say) peanut butter is good for a starter peanut butter, but crunchy is where it's at.

Creamy has its place: for giving to toddlers, for cooking or baking, but crunchy is better for a sandwich.
What's to explain? It's a bunch of people, most of whom you've never met, who are just as likely to be homicidal maniacs as they are to be normal everyday people, with whom you share the minutiae of your everyday life. It's totally normal, and everyone would understand.

I find crunch peanut butter in a sandwich to be overbearing. I appreciation subtlety in my peanut butter.

Almond butter is close to peanut butter in taste and texture. Sunflower seed butter is good too.

On a related note, what does everybody think about the various natural peanut butters out there. I am a Jif/Skippy man and the oily stuff always grosses me out just looking at it in the jar. But a low carb peanut butter has its appeal weight loss wise.

Any suggestions on ones to try?
