I love her shows, they're so ridiculously out of touch with America, it's great. I love how she pretends Jeffrey isn't banging tons of chicks in NYC all week before coming back home.

I want to try some grilled flatbread. Never done it before. Suggestions for toppings?

I stumbled upon a website called foodnetworkhumor.com yesterday. I thought of you in particular. It's well worth a visit, especially the recipe of the week feature. It is merciless to Sandra Lee and Rachael Ray in particular, which is a good thing.

Tapatalk rendered SJS's post like this:

It's grilling season again. On the menu this week:kabobs grilled chicken burgers (we grind our own beef, it is the only way to fly)
Though I don't know how you could be considered intelligent if you've never even considered how delicious a grilled chicken kabob burger would be.

Oh shit, that is awesome! I'm going to have to spend more time looking at that site when I get a chance.

We don't have cable anymore, so I don't get TFN. I've started watching some of the cooking shows on the public television stations that we get, and they are far superior to the majority of the cooking shows on TFN. It's hard to imagine this, but they have actual chefs doing instructional shows! Jacques Pepin, old Julia Child stuff, Ming Tsai, Rick Bayless, Eric Ripert, etc. Throw in Steve Reichlen's BBQ U and America's Test Kitchen (awesome program) and it basically kicks the shit out of TFN. Plus it's free!

How awkward are his interactions with his daughter? Damn.

But I love that he starts most episodes at a location in Mexico.

The vodka jokes involving Sandra Lee never get old. Not even the 30th iteration.

You seriously need to do the search for Racheal Ray's midnight bacon recipe. Golden.

My grill is used year round and usually several times a week. 90% of it is ribeye steaks, hamburgers and vegetables.

                                Grilled Rack of Lamb

I dusted off the egg today in what what I hope is the first of some good spring/summer grilling. Today I grilled up roasted fingerling potatoes and a mustard crusted rack of lamb. Only my second time cooking rack of lamb. It was delish!

First just some salt and pepper on the lamb then seared for a couple minutes on both sides to get brown.

Then I put in my plate setter for indirect grilling and got the potaoes going. Temp is @ 400°.

I smothered the lamb with a rub of whole grain mustard, rosemary and garlic. The added that in with the potatoes.

20 minutes later they were done! We really enjoyed it!
