Even when speaking of fast food, I always liked Fatburger more than I-n-I. Maybe you could even add Tommy's Burger to the mix, but I don't know how much I would like a chiliburger these days...

Every time we go to St George with my family my wife insists on taking the kids to I-n-I. Frankly I don't think it is quite worth the wait, but that is just me. Their food IS good and the fries always taste fresh, but I don't think it is appreciably better than Carl's Jr.

In my experience, nearly every greasy spoon Ma and Pa restaurant has better burgers than most chains.

I agree with you on Fatburger. A personal fave of mine. Also, what takes you to St. Double G so frequently?

        Fatburger is gross. And expensive.

i think these East coasters (manhattanites) like BIG and the Beasties freak out when they come west and eat our fast food burgers. White Castle is the worst burger you can possible buy, so when they try IO or Fat, they write about it in their songs.

Beastie Boys are fly at fatburger when they're way out West.

My dad has a house down there, and will retire there in a few years. I last went for Thanksgiving, and will return for an annual 'boys trip' in a few weeks with my son, dad, brothers, and nephew. When the other boys (my other two sons and 4 nephews) get older we will bring them too.

We eat unhealthy food, drink milk from the carton, watch 'naughty movies' (up to Mel Brooks, anyway), ride the ATVs through the Tortoise Reserve, blow away targets with pistols/rifles/shotguns, fart and then giggle like school girls, stay up late, swap manly stories, and in the morning we make waffles.

              You know, "Guy Stuff".

One of the Beasties, I can;t remember if it was Mike D or Ad Rock, has a house in Park City. Is he one of the 'resentful Utahns'?

Adam has a house, or used to have a house, at Snowbird, I think. It's possible that his house wasn't actually at Snowbird, but he basically lived on that mountain during the winters while I was in HS.

                    Was it Adam or Adam?

                      It was Adam.

White Castle is an atrocity and you make a good point - in the world of fast food / chain type places there didn't used to be much out east that compares to the best of the west. That's changed somewhat in the last decade though.

Same. But I think it was the first Adam, not the second one.

I've discovered that you ask for the fries "lightly fried" and they are much better. You get them regular or well done and they are dried out nasties.

And it's not because I don't like fresh fries. I love fresh cut fries.

I think for the price, you can't beat an InNout burger. There, I said it.

I still prefer a Hires Big H with bacon, but I'm guessing that it's probably 2X more expensive than a cheeseburger at INO

Well...you know...if it's the best burger in California, it's the best in the world. California is the bestest!

Jay I wouldn't inflict a CB In-N-Out v Five Guys thread on you but yes, these people do exist. I suppose if I looked at the threads closely I'd discover that it's no more than 2-3 dudes who are just as loud as hell and incredibly insecure about the fact that guys from California scored all the hottest girls at EFY.... but they're there.

Heh. I like INO burgers. Their fries just plain suck. I don't care if they're fresh cut or cut 6 years ago. INO's fries have no flavor.
