  • Finally made it to Five Guys the other night

If you think this is as good / better than In-n-Out, you are on crack. It was a decent burger and fries but not even in the same league. Crown Burger or any of a handful of the local mom and pop burger/fries/shake joints are better IMO.

It was better than your typical national chain fast food but not in the same league as In-n-Out.

I think you are the one on crack my friend, 5 Guy's is much better, especially their cajun fries.

I like them both but definitely favor Five Guys over In-N-Out, by quite a bit actually.

Five Guys is better than In-N-Out by a fairly wide margin, but it is also more expensive.

That said, I agree that you can get better burgers at Crown and many of the other mom and pop joints out than at either of those two places.

I've never been to Five Guys' before, but from the looks of your post, I think you have an unrealistically-high opinion of In-n-Out.

My contribution to this thread: I personally don't care which burger people here find more tasty.

I went to Five Guys a couple of days ago. I got the small cheeseburger, fries, and a drink. It was ten bucks. It was good, but it wasn't $10 good.

10 bucks? How?? I always get the big burger and a small fry (granted, I just get water.. no drink) and it's like 7 bucks. Are you one of those that gets the large fry and the large drink? That's the only way I could see it being 10 bucks...

As a side note, I've never understood why anyone would get a large drink at a fast food joint. With unlimited refills, why wouldn't you get the smallest size?

We went to 5 Guys tonight and ordered their Cajun fries. While I recall them being very good last time we had them, they were under-seasoned and quite unremarkable tonight.

Not to mention that they have made me feel violently ill.

I doubt I will be eating at 5 Guys in the near future.
