Just got one in here. I've never been but I want to try it at least once. I realize it is no gourmet cuisine, but it is now another fast food option. What is good there?

I like Steak 'n Shake. Good hamburgers, hit and miss fries and excellent milkshakes. Probably a buck or two overpriced, but not too bad overall. IIRC, ERCougar has never forgiven me for recommending he eat there. He hates the place.
A while ago I was watching that show "Best Thing I Ever Ate" on Food Network and the theme was hamburgers. All the celebrity chefs were describing gourmet hamburgers with exotic toppings, pretty high-brow stuff. Then Mark Summers came on looking like a total clodhopper and started pimping Steak and Shake. The contrast was one of the most unintentionally funny things I've seen on television.Comment

I can see how that would be confusing. Typically what I do is identify which combination of items I would like to eat then find out the number assigned to that combination and then loudly say that number into the speaker box, followed by my beverage of choice (coke zero at S&S).Originally posted by myboynoah View PostComment

We ate at a Steak and Shake in Indiana. At least I think it was Indiana. I was acting as a DD and I remember thinking it was grody to the max. The drunk people that were with me thought it was great.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.
