lol. I'm jealous of you and JL. I feel like I've set this thread back years with a Traeger.

As those few pellets started smoking they realized that there was very little demand for the thing in the Philippines. No pellets are available. On top of that, it's 110 volts and the Philippines runs on 220. They practically begged me to take it off their hands. They threw in a brand new Ninja Blender. Also 110 volts. Luckily for me, our house is dual wired. So I did ok.
Way to go, CJF! I'd say it's blessings for carrying all those missionary packages from the US to the Philippines.

Hey, speaking of which...we are opening a site in Bacolod. I'll be there a bunch over the next year or so.

That's pretty cool, although if my daughter is still there at that time, I'll be surprised and disappointed. She's scheduled to come home the end of January. Can't wait!

              • So, a couple weeks ago I was doing ribs on the Traeger. After about 5 hours the auger/blower just stopped working. I checked all the connections/power and couldn't see anything obvious. I cleaned out the fire pot but haven't been able to get it to start. Any thoughts?

Does the display come on? Did you pull the controller and check the fuse on the back? (Do the newer Traeger controllers still have a fuse?) I assume you checked your breaker right?

The display doesn't come on. I have looked for a fuse but don't see one. Breaker is good.

May be time for a call to Traeger customer service. They are really good to work with and should be able to help you out.

                        • traeg CS are good people but they are programmed to give some scripted answers at first that are annoying and a huge w.a.s.t.e. of time. Be prepared for them to lecture you a little on using non-traeger brand pellets and also whether you store your pellets indoors or in your garage/cold weather. You can tell them that your traeger melted into a pool of goo and their first question will be to ask you if you have tried purchasing and using traeger brand pellets in order to fix the problem.
