THOSE ARE THE ONES!!! When our oldest was delivered at UPenn I went down and got my wife a BLT. To this day she says it was the best BLT she's ever had.Originally posted by Surfah View PostNothing like getting an Italian sausage or cheesesteak on a long roll. True, but how good is that 1000 calories when it is going down the hatch?Originally posted by Surfah View PostA Chipotle burrito will set you back a minimum 800-900 calories. A few extras and you're eating over a grand on lunch. I know, because I am fat.I'm your huckleberry.

Yeah one morning I went for a breakfast sandwich at one of the trucks. Cheese, eggs, bacon on a long roll. It was awesome.Originally posted by hostile View PostTHOSE ARE THE ONES!!! I've noticed this too. Poor bread quality at some Subways is probably more of a franchise issue than it is a problem for the whole chain.Originally posted by nikuman View PostThe subway I went to always had decent bread, so that worked out. I would prefer a whole wheat instead of their part whole wheat, but at least it was wheat of some sort.
Mayo on sandwiches is gross. I don't understand how people eat that stuff.

Carl's Jr has a new turkey burger. They claim the 3 turkey burgers they offer are under 500 calories.
I had the guacamole turkey burger tonight, and it was pretty good. The bun appeared to be whole wheat, and the guac was nice. I have no clue if it's really under 500 calories (I would assume it is, considering it's a specific number and not "a healthy alternative" or something vague)."I don't know the origin of said bitch booming."-Art Vandelay

A couple days ago I had some pot roast at Mimi's Cafe that was not terrible. Ok, it was actually really good.

I hate the normal subway bread, but their flatbread is pretty good. My standard subway is the $5 chicken breast footlong with sweet onion sauce and everything on it but cheese. $5 for two 350ish calorie meals and lots of veggies mixed in.At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

You can get by in one meal on a 6-inch Subway sandwich? I can't, and that's probably why I've been stuck on 167 for weeks now.Originally posted by ERCougar View PostI hate the normal subway bread, but their flatbread is pretty good. For my every 3-4 hour mini-meals, yeah.Originally posted by BoylenOver View PostYou can get by in one meal on a 6-inch Subway sandwich? I can't, and that's probably why I've been stuck on 167 for weeks now.
They're actually pretty filling if you get enough extra veggies in.

I usually get lettuce, tomatoes, onions, green peppers, cucumbers, and jalapenos. How many veggies do you get? Do you ask them to give you more than they normally give?Originally posted by ERCougar View PostFor my every 3-4 hour mini-meals, yeah.

No. That's about what I get, except no tomatoes and I get olives, banana peppers, etc in addition. Pretty much everything they'll put on except tomatoes.Originally posted by BoylenOver View PostI usually get lettuce, tomatoes, onions, green peppers, cucumbers, and jalapenos. I usually try to eat 5-6 times a day, and if I'm eating that often, I can't go past 350 calories a shot or I go over for my day. My guess is that of the 500 calories, 300 of it is the bun and the cheese. It would be great if fast food would start offering those 100 calorie thin bread alternatives like the kinds you can buy in stores. They taste great and work perfectly on sandwiches.Originally posted by BoylenOver View PostCarl's Jr has a new turkey burger. They claim the 3 turkey burgers they offer are under 500 calories.
