  • I remember that Hardees would give you free fries with your Jazz ticket if the Jazz won and kept the opponent below 100 points.

Those are called Western Bacon Cheeseburgers now. Good stuff.

Also, I remember CJ's being a dine-in restaurant a-la Denny's back in the mid 80s in Mesa, AZ.

You are absolutely correct that it was not the same as Hardees though as there was one of those a few blocks away. I remember when Mailman was their pitchman in Utah they started selling fried chicken and had this peach cobbler that came with the meal that was actually pretty good.
I seem to remember making Hardee's fried chicken references when the Jazz and the Bulls were playing in the NBA Finals.

            • My mom was a big fan of the curly fries at the Hardee's in Idaho Falls. It was her go-to fast food place. When they discontinued the curly fries, she prophetically told them they would soon go out of business. A year or two later, Hardee's was gone.

Wait until JL comes and says his bs detector is going off because he's heard multiple iterations of this same story.

Never heard that story in my life.

You need to study the gospel, son!

Actually that's great advice for everyone, not just HFN. As we make studying the gospel a lifelong pursuit we'll not only gain a better understanding of the Lord's plan for us, but we'll also find peace and joy.

                          • I can't tell you if this place was tolerable or not, because even as a teenager I couldn't bring myself to try out a 39 cent burger. Hot N Now (my username in other forums) sprouted up all over the place seemingly overnight and they were all gone within a couple years.

I love the MTV quick cut editing method of this commercial, seemingly every commercial from the mid 90s was like this.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Yes. Those are some hot wings. The one here in town recently closed.
