If I ever had to choose which NW metro area to live in, PDx wins hands down. However, when it comes to food, there is no comparison. Seattle has infinitely better dining, its not even close.Originally posted by mpfunk View PostPortland once again proving its superiority to Seattle. Pok Pok - 8th, Seattle's highest ranked restaurant - 14th.

Portland food is a pretty big deal these days. Some have called it the most important food scene in America right now (and the American counterpart to the Noma/Copenhagen movement). It's just small. So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Interesting. I haven't lived there for quite awhile, and when I do return I often frequent the same places, I've always enjoyed. If PDx can take over the dining title from Sea, I might start changing where i hold my business meetings at.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostI'm offended by your first comment.

Portland is great and it is small. There are obviously plenty of other places that I love in Portland. Beast was fantastic but inconsistent and the cart scene is great. There are a few places that I really want to go to, but it is more difficult when we are in Portland without convenient babysitting. I doubt that Le Pigeon would by happy if I brought an 18 month old and I doubt that I would be happy either.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostI'm offended by your first comment.

I'm glad that we agree that Portland is superior to Seattle, with the possible exception of the food.Originally posted by Art Vandelay View PostIf I ever had to choose which NW metro area to live in, PDx wins hands down. You don't need to judge the whole city based on your interactions with SU.Originally posted by mpfunk View PostYou just need to let SeattleUte know about this thread, he will join your pro-Seattle cause.

SeattleUte is the perfect representative of Seattle. He is the best person to judge the city based on. I like SeattleUte. He is just too damn pretentious.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostYou don't need to judge the whole city based on your interactions with SU.

No, I'm the best representative. Everyone here (except SU, of course!) is entirely lovable. Just ask Art. Despite his threats to move his meetings to Portland, his opportunities to hang out with me and SpaceGhost (or whatever name he's going by these days) are the highlight of his year.Originally posted by mpfunk View PostSeattleUte is the perfect representative of Seattle. I'm sorry, you will have to be content with being the 2nd best city in the Pacific Northwest. That is actually pretty damn good, considering that no reasonable person can dispute the pure greatness of the Pacific Northwest.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostNo, I'm the best representative.
