Breastfeeding does release a hormone that relaxes the mom, which is nice, but not THAT nice. I loved being able to curl up with my baby (and toddler, I breastfed one until 16 months, and the other two until they turned 2) and let him or her nurse. I am all for extended nursing (to a point). I can't see much reason for breastfeeding a child much longer than 3, though.What's to explain? It's totally normal, and everyone would understand.
