hmm. at least we agree it tastes like chadders. Something about the burger turns me off and I can't quite put my finger on it. The same thing happened at Chadders-- I'm not sure if it's the patty or the bun, but something is cardboard there. I like that style of fry, though-- kinda crispy n salty and good.

Chadders was close the first week or so of business. It went downhill from there. The lettuce was wet and wilty, the bun was soggy and the cheese was never melted. I couldn't eat there ever again. In n Out does it right every time.

In-N-Out fry haters please remember this phrase when ordering, "Fries well done please." In-N-Out under cooks their fries imho. Well done makes them delish!

also, I/O fry haters, please remember this about I/O fries.....take one fresh potato, cut it fresh, fry it immediately, serve it fresh within minutes. Gross!

Especially when it's limp and undercooked.

And that is what this whole dumb argument hinges on.

Is the better quality of JCW or 5 Guys enough to get you to pay the extra money? Then do it.

If not, then go to In-N-Out.

If you wait too long to eat the fries, they do lose the shape (i assume since they are fresh with no frozen preservatives). Even driving them home is too long. You need to eat them there.

If they are undercooked to your taste, that seems to be your problem for not ordering correctly. Get them well done.

I ate them onsite. Admittedly, it was my first and only In n Out experience. I didn't realize you could have your fries boiled or fried there and that I needed to specify that they shouldn't make them limp and undercooked.

Here's a suggestion for a Burger than I don't hear often: Mad Greek in SLC on 21st south.

I think it's better than Crown.

I think Crown Burger is overrated. I keep going back and I'm always disappointed.

In fact, I had one...or part of one tonight. I just don't love it.

I'd take a burger from Hires, Five Guys, or Mad Greek over Crown.
