I don't understand leaving off Cucina Toscana and putting Royal India in over the Himalayan Kitchen.

I can't comment on all of these (especially since some of them fall outside of my dining-out budget) but Left Fork Grill is a great little family joint with excellent comfort food and awesome pies. Also, everyone should try Mazza if they haven't already.

Finally, I'm not sure what Royal India has that merits it a mention over Taj India, Tandoor, Taste of India or New Delhi Palace (I saw Himalayan Kitchen already got a shout out above.)
Kids in general these days seem more socially retarded...

None of them date. They hang out. They text. They sit in the same car or room and don't say a word...they text. Then, they go home and whack off to internet porn.

I think that's the sad truth about why these kids are retards.

I noticed at the football game on Fri that "Sparks" has taken to advertising on the scoreboard. Like most top foodie spots, you have to make sure you are raising brand awareness at sports venues.

Royal India can be grouped in with all of the other restaurants you mentioned.

Himalayan Kitchen and Bombay House are both a notch above all of those restaurants. In fact, I would put Ganesh ahead of Royal India, New Delhi Palace, Tandoor and all of the rest as well.

Yeah, Bombay House is the best Indian I've had in Utah.

All I've ever felt is that Bombay House is the most I've paid for Indian in Utah, never that it was the best.

I've never eaten there, but from friend's reviews, I would think Red Iguana should be on the list.

Bombay House has best Kheer of any of the Indian places, but I prefer the masala at Himalayan Kitchen.

I agree. I think Taste of India is better. I've never tried the Himalayan. I think I will.

It should be probably the ONLY Mexican restaurant on the list, but it SHOULD be on there.

Just tried Bambara for the first time this past weekend. My wife's favorite thing to do for her birthday is to sample some of the finer dining establishments in Salt Lake. Last year it was Forage. Our experience at Bambara probably didn't quite match up to that but it was still pretty damn good.

We started with calamari and a house specialty appetizer of fresh cut potato chips smothered in parmesan and bleu cheese. The calamari was just fine but unspectacular and the chips, while hugely addictive, weren't something that would appear out of place at a neighborhood joint like Chili's or something.

The entrees, however, were incredible. I had the cast Iron Roasted Colorado Bison, Sweet Potato Oven Fries, Watercress, Pomegranate Syrup, Maytag Blue. The bison had amazing flavor. I hadn't had bison for a long time, but I thought I remembered it being more gamey.

My wife and my cousin's husband both had the Braised Morgan Valley Lamb Shank, Mushroom Couscous, Seared Chard, Mint Hollandaise. The lamb was perfectly tender and the couscous was delicious.

My cousin claimed she "won" dinner with her choice of Butternut Squash Ravioli, Red Onions, Green Apples, Parmesan, Sage & Pinenut Brown Butter, but since I didn't get to taste any of it, I can't back up her claim.

For dessert I had the Roasted Peach Tartlett with Local Honey Ice Cream, Puff Pastry & Bourbon Caramel Sauce. It was stellar.

Great dining experience and although a bit pricey to put on the regular dining rotation, I look forward to stopping in there for dessert again sometime soon.
