Well, my internet lags, so I usually watch me kill someone, then I die, then I watch the playback and it doesn't even show me shooting at them.

Yep that is very frustrating and happens quite a bit to me as well. Nothing worse than getting killed the second a guy turns a corner. Then watching the kill cam only to see he was shooting at you for 5 seconds.

I agree, but I am under contract with Qwest until I think August. After that I will switch to Comcast, I do not even get 1 MBPS the test I ran put me at .8.

With Comcast I can get up to 15 I think for a similar price. Qwest does not have anything faster in my neighborhood.

I forgot to tell you guys about the great moment I had last night. I was having a mediocre night - nothing special, but not too bad I guess - when we got on Afghan. I haven't been using the sniper rifle lately, so I had my normal M16 loadout (which is what I use when I'm playing long-distance). I killed a guy and grabbed his Barrett .50. He had a dumb bling load-out - ACOG scope and HR monitor. Anyway, on that map, when I snipe, one of my locations is in the smaller bunker, but way back in the corner facing down towards the far edge of the map past the entrance to the big bunker (that way, the idiots in the cave can't see or kill you).

Sniping with an ACOG ain't my thing, but I was starting to get the hang of it again. All of a sudden, two guys come down the trail from the backside and I aim, time, and squeeze...right as one walks right behind the other.

BAM! Two headshots, two kills, one bullet.

CJ needs a better internet connect. Skip a PPV, or make the Halo guys actually give u money for the fights this weekend and use that money to get out of your contract. ;-) You guys getting on tonight? If I don't roll to the oasis of the west desert aka Wendover I will play tonight.

I am sure that you got an achievement for that. In COD4, I think that was called a "collateral damage". I did that a few times on COD4....I miss the m40 sniper.

I hate that, too! I'm glad I'm not the only one because it happens too often. Most of the time I can admit that I probably would have died anyway, but because the replay shows that I didn't even take a shot, it makes me look like a goober with slow reflexes (and I can do that by myself just fine).

I read your posts a few weeks ago about your Internet speed problems, and I want to chime in--I wouldn't worry about download/upload speed nearly as much as I would worry about ping time/lag. The latter is much more important for gaming. Generally a good download/upload speed goes hand-in-hand with low lag, but not always.

I beleive that lag time is more a function of how far away you are from your ISP (and more specifically, for MW and other user-hosted games, as well as how far away from whichever player is the "host" for that round--and their connection type).

When I lived near Seattle, I had DSL through Verizon for a while. The download speeds were much slower than when I had cable Internet at the same location, but my ping times were about the same. Now I have FTTH which gives me awesome download speed but ping times that I would characterize as so-so.

Anyway, my point to this whole rant is that when you do get cable Internet or whatever, upgrading to a more expensive plan may not decrease your lag times at all.
