You are using to much common sense with the PS3 haters. The Xbox guys are like all of the posters on utefans.net. There is no such thing as a Ute fan, just BYU haters. Similar to the xbox guys, they do not like the xbox as much as they like to hate on the PS3.

Nonetheless, I fully admit my ignorance of XBL and perhaps differences are notable, I simply don't know. I do know that I greatly enjoy my PSN experience and as they say, even when sex is bad, it's good.

Is this any different than your own approach to Utah and the XBOX 360?

It is simple enough, I fixed mine and as CJ pointed out, no problems since. When others encounter the problem (HL, RF, etc.), it is a rather intimidating if you don't have networking experience, but not a recurring problem.
I am actually very intimidated by it. I have no idea where to start with this. I am actually going to get my next door neighbor who works on routers for a living to come over and see if he can fix it.

And so was I. I called my friend, even prefacing it with, "you probably have no idea what I'm talking about..." and he was like "oh yeah port forwarding", and I said tried that, didn't work. Then he said to go into the modem and allow public IP addresses. That worked. The fact that it used to work but now doesn't makes me think it is similar to my problem, but who knows.
Ask your neighbor, he could very well be the friend that I asked as he lives in Utah (specifically Lehi).
Last night's connect problems were mine. My router was set to Strict and I couldn't get it to open, thus I was having issues connecting to others and vice versa. Again I've played both XBL and PSN and prefer PSN. RF I had similar issues on XBL, these guys who act like XBL is flawless are full of shit.

You know who's even more full of shit? The guys who give a shit about what system they have so much that they care to get in a meaningless pissing match on the interwebs about it.
I have an xbox 360. I got it because my brothers also have xbox 360s. It plays games and looks cool. I suspect a PS3 would also play games and look cool. I would have got a PS3 if my brothers had those instead.
Awesomeness now has a name. Let me introduce myself.
I'm not sure how it is on Xbox, but on the PS3, you only have a few choices for the layout of the buttons (at least that's all I'm aware of). There's one called 'Tactical' which is basically the default layout, with the crouch and melee commands flipped. This enables you to crouch while still aiming/shooting. I know it's something a lot of people do, at times with great efficacy.
Does anyone on here do it? I tried it but any benefit I got from the crouch-while-shooting maneuver was negated by my sub-par melee skills (I would obviously crouch instead of swipe).

I us the tactical layout. Mostly because it was the same as Halo. It does effect your knife reaction but it makes drop shots that much easier, as well as crouching while aiming.

New maps are ok. Nothing to get too excited about.
By the way I am 100% convinced now that if the PS3 boys played the Xbox boys in Mosh Pit we would dominate. TDM might be different, but to play the new maps exclusively you have to play mosh pit. Listening to all of these guys that play nothing but TDM bitch and moan about all the other games and then watching them get absolutely destroyed is classic. I was the top scorer on my team in all 7 of the games I played tonight.
TDM and the Mosh Pit games really do require completely different strategies.

This is a point we've conceded many times over. We never play Mosh Pit. Ever.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.
