Falafel, I see you've accepted my friend request, you getting on this weekend?
I will be playing, but due to my wife's Girlfriends Come and Stay at Our House Weekend 2010, I've been relocated from my normal gaming spot down stairs to the bedroom. That means I'll have to move either the xbox or the ps3, or perhaps both, up stairs. At this point I've managed to conceal from my wife the fact that I own the game on two consoles... she would never understand.

either way, perhaps I'll switch it up. Since the girls are in town, I'm planning to play both Friday and Saturday nights. Maybe one will be an xbox night and another a PS3 night. I don't have a PS3 headset though. I'm trying to figure out how I can upgrade to this one, which does both:

In the meantime, do you not have a bluetooth? I'll probably be on tonight and all day tomorrow, just not at night.

My English is just fine, don't better. I can't believe that HFNW even speaks to you anymore.
          Multiplayer: (russian)

          * brasayu granatu = throwing grenade
          * brasayu stan granatu = throwing stun grenade
          * brasayu vspishku = throwing flash grenade
          * prikroy menya! Ya perezaryazhayus = cover me! I'm reloading
          * vrag ubit = enemy killed (i.e. down)
          * vrag unichtozhin = enemy eliminated
          Militia (Portuguese language):

Me de cobertura, estou recarregando = Cover me, I'm reloading!

          Alvo neutralizado! = Target Down

          Alvo atingido = Target Hit

Trocando de arma = Changing weapon (Note that this should mean changing magazine, or reloading.)

There’s also apparently a glitch in the voices in multiplayer when it comes to the Militia. Whenever one of the Militia throws a flashbang, they yell, “Aapareceu derrepente!” = Instantly appeared!

In the game, whenever a Militia member throws a frag grenade, they inappropriately yell, “Atirando uma granada de luz" = Throwing a flash grenade. Apparently, it should be corrected to “Atirando uma granada de mão.” = Throwing a frag grenade.

Then, when characters go to plant a claymore, the Militia says, "Golpeando com espada." = Slashing with sword. I guess there isn't a word in Portuguese for a Claymore mine? They instead used the Portuguese word for a Claymore - the Scottish two-handed sword.
          OpFor

Tango sakat = Tango down. The literal translation of "Sakat" is “Fell”

Baghayir makhzan = Changing Magazine. Note that "makhzan" isn’t the exact translation for “magazine.” It actually means, "storage," but in this situation it stands-in for magazine.

Ihmeeni ba'abi makhzan = Cover me, "refilling" magazine.

Ba'abi = Reloading. It litterly means, “Filling Up” Not Barbie, or Bambi, unfortunately. =)

Sakat al hadif = Target Down. Not “Suck it, Van Halen!” (also unfortunately!)

Romana! = Grenade. The literal translation is Pomegranate.

          Barmy Romana! = Throwing Grenade

Actually, I don't have a blue tooth. I could get one for $20 at best buy, but I play with head phones. Could I wear the blue tooth under my headphones?

Btw, while the blue tooth thing is kinda nice, I've noticed that it makes for some pretty crappy voice communication. That was one of the first things I noticed when I started playing MW2 on the PS3. The sound quality of the voice communication is much lower than with the wired xbox system. I guess that's the trade off though for getting rid of that extra wire.

What about when that dude yells "10 inch storezhinah!" or "7 inch storezhinah!"? What does that mean? I always thought they were probably comparing dicks somewhere on the fringes of the map and yelling out the winner.

                • Sorry I am not quoting the conversation from earlier, but my work computer is being glitchy.

You were talking about NAT problems on the PSN and having problems hooking up. I had this problem for a while and what fixed my NAT type from Strict to Open was unplugging the power cord from my router and leaving it unplugged for about 5 minutes. I plugged it back in and waited for the router to boot itself back up and ever since then I have had an open NAT connection. If you know you have trusty internet service give this a shot and see if it works for you.

                  • No offense Flyn but that's a horrible idea. And slow your roll here, falafal did I read that correctly? You've played MW2 on PS3?

I don't use bluetooth, just figured it could be a makeshift solution until you get another headset. I use a wired headset/mic combo, so I think the sounds is pretty good. You can also get wired headsets at best buy for about $15, but it doesn't have the sound of the game, just the chat.

Lol, that's my favorite one. I've always thought the exact same thing

I'm not sure that'll work, at least it didn't for me. I had to go into my router and change the IP thing to be use public addresses instead of private. Then restart everything and it was open.

Yeah, you read it correctly. I bought a used copy of MW2 for PS3 about a month ago but didn't start playing until last week. Camelish invited me to a game but I didn't accept quick enough. My other problem is that I'm not a fan for the PS3 controller - I can't grip it firmly in my hands. I feel like I have to hold it with my fingers instead. And I'm only a level 14 or so on my PS3 account.

I'm thinking of buying this to try and bridge the gap:

Apparently it works with the PS3 but is built like an xbox controller. You can actually swap the d-pad and analog joystick back and forth on the left side, which seems interesting. I'd probably keep it in the xbox configuration. I'm going to go to Fry's at lunch and see if they've got one.

This is all discouraging news to me. It's like our best friend is now slumming with the kids 2 blocks down on the other side of the tracks. Shame on you, falafel. Shame on you!

Don't do it Falafel, It's a set up. They just want to beat you up!

The only way I see this working out is when you join their party you must state the following sentence,

"Alright, man. Lets just cut the bullshit. Right? Please? I'm here to wipe the floor with your ass, and you know it, and everybody knows it, and you deserve it. I think it's safe to say, that this party is about to become, a historical fact."

Otherwise, I am going to be terribly disappointed that you have betrayed us.
