How much of Schitt's Creek did you watch? I didn't enjoy it at first. In fact, I'd say it didn't really get good until Season 2 (which is not uncommon for sitcoms). Ted Lasso is a bit overrated, IMO, but it grows on you over time.

I'll give Schitt's Creek another try, despite being put off by the few early episodes I watched. Part of the problem for me is the stupid name, a cheap attempt for a laugh. It may join Pickleball on this list of poorly named things that are much better than they sound.

The episodes are short on Netflix So it’s like maybe a little over an hour total viewing time for it to get hilarious.

Yeah, that made me wonder before I started the series. Don't let it turn you off. Surprisingly (ironically?), the humor in the series is mostly light-handed and understated, which is something I really enjoy in a comedy series. And the characters are all very lovable. I can't think of a single character I don't like.

One of my favorite episodes starts out with a man and a woman lying quietly in bed and the woman comments how great it is that they are at a point in the relationship where they can sit together in silence without talking because they are so connected and know each other so well. He agrees, but the rest of the episode the woman cannot shut up and is constantly asking him how he feels, what he is thinking, etc.

It picks up steam in season 2, but yeah there is still some great stuff in season 1. I liked that scene too.
