Agreed on both points in your first sentence. Totally implausible (a Premier League team hiring as its head coach/manager an American football coach who doesn't understand the offsides rule, or anything else about soccer?). Still, the show is very entertaining and we're hoping for a second season.

Ted Lasso is awesome. With all of the negativity in our lives the upbeat optimism is such a breath of fresh air. Was legit sad when we finished the first season.

I enjoyed 'Long Way Up'. I was bored one night and watched the first episode. I didn't expect to watch more than that, but it got progressively better. In the grand scheme of things, it's kind of silly making a series about entitled people driving electric motorcycles from Chile to L.A. and not realizing the obvious environmental impact of having a following TV crew negating their decreased footprint. But the cinematography is at times beautiful, and they meet up with some interesting people. And I didn't know this before, but when they did their previous series through Asia, MacGregor met up with a Mongolian child that he later adopted. He recounted that in an episode and it was very touching.

The last two episodes feel rushed, but the people are pretty likable and it's interesting to see their challenges. I'd recommend it.

I'm about nine months in to a free year of AppleTV+ and haven't watched it in about 8-1/2 months. I should probably check in again to see how much they've increased the volume of content.

Nope. Two different animals. You get stories and little skits on the doc that aren't in the book, and the book is its own thing. Strictly for real fans, though. If you're just a casual fan you won't care too much.

I watched the first couple of episodes of Tehran which was great and then watched a couple of episodes of the Ewan McGregor show where he rides adventure motorcycles through Africa with his buddy. Long Way Down or something like that. Also decent.
