Anyone read "Theo of Golden"? I heard a lot of good things about it so I downloaded it, but man it is a slog so far.

I finished Flashlight by Susan Choi the other day. I really struggled at the beginning and hated the characters, but as it went on I really liked it. It was long, but it all payed off for me at the end.

Finally got around to finishing Dungeon Crawler Carl. It took me well past the halfway mark before I started enjoying it but I did finally get there. Fun read.

I know a lot of the love comes from the Audiobook. I enjoyed it.

Currently listening to this one right now. Lots of familiarity...but also super all over the place. I'm about 1/4 of the way through it.

I do like where it is going though.

But there were helpful characters that monologued about those facts along the way, so I didn't miss much. Good writing and a novel world. I recommend it for other fantasy nerds. I will continue on with the sequel A Drop of Corruption.
I really liked both of those.

Isn't it great that we live in a country where you are allowed to have the wrong opinion that red rising is good? Makes me proud to be an American!

Same. As it is I forget when I’ve heard reruns of This American Life.

i'm the same, but I agree with Tick about Project Hail Mary. Most of the time, I need to go back and re-read stuff or dog ear pages for future reference.

It took me about 4 chapters into the book to really get into it.
