It took me about 4 chapters into the book to really get into it.
I can only do physical copies or ebooks. My auditory attention is ass.

i'm the same, but I agree with Tick about Project Hail Mary. Most of the time, I need to go back and re-read stuff or dog ear pages for future reference.

Same. As it is I forget when I’ve heard reruns of This American Life.

You are wrong as well. Crazy.

BP wants all dogs dead. So I already am skeptical of his reviews.

Isn't it great that we live in a country where you are allowed to have the wrong opinion that red rising is good? Makes me proud to be an American!

                • Just finished The Tainted Cup by Robert Bennet. Sort of a fantasy murder mystery novel. My daughter recommended it to me. I was hesitant to read it because I was afraid of missing out on some arcane fact that the whole case rests on. But there were helpful characters that monologued about those facts along the way, so I didn't miss much. Good writing and a novel world. I recommend it for other fantasy nerds. I will continue on with the sequel A Drop of Corruption.

Currently listening to this one right now. Lots of familiarity...but also super all over the place. I'm about 1/4 of the way through it.

I do like where it is going though.

                      • Ok, I'm approaching halfway through Dungeon Crawler Carl and I think maybe this one just isn't for me. I'll finish, but I'm not seeing what everyone loves yet.

I know a lot of the love comes from the Audiobook. I enjoyed it.

                          • Finally got around to finishing Dungeon Crawler Carl. It took me well past the halfway mark before I started enjoying it but I did finally get there. Fun read.

                            • I finished Flashlight by Susan Choi the other day. I really struggled at the beginning and hated the characters, but as it went on I really liked it. It was long, but it all payed off for me at the end.
