It did feel a bit like a mash-up....Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Sorry, but I can't celebrate David Bowie. I'm sure he was a fantastic musician, but I just can't separate that from the despicable person he was and the untold number of young women (and men) that he left strung out on cocaine and other drugs over a lifetime of cold, sexual conquest and debauchery."It's devastating, because we lost to a team that's not even in the Pac-12. I'm sure the video. Not many people could boost of sleeping with Iman and Mick Jagger. The video I put in the same category as Billy Squiers "Rock Me Tonite".Originally posted by Northwestcoug View PostThe video, or the rumors?
Yeah, but I assume it was a lull in either of their careers that had their publicists looking for more exposure.

Not a nice guy to be sure, but then so many great ones aren't. Besides, he wasnt that bad. It's not like he played basketball for BYU or something.Originally posted by kccougar View PostSorry, but I can't celebrate David Bowie. Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

By those standards, any rock star from the 60s and 70s is a despicable person. Bowie was a choir boy compared to Lennon.Originally posted by kccougar View PostSorry, but I can't celebrate David Bowie. You could say the same thing about Beethoven, Michelangelo, .... basically any artist. It's easy to be sanctimonious when you have a very low number of carnal temptations coming your way and no inner demons. Like Chris Rock said in reference to GOP outrage over Monica Lewinski, "nobody's tryin' to blow Orrin Hatch!"Originally posted by USUC View PostBy those standards, any rock star from the 60s and 70s is a despicable person. Maybe. But it's such a waste of time and effort that i don't think he would do it here. Moreover, I meant what I said so I dont have a problem with it being out there nor do I particularly care if anyone is giggling behind a keyboard that I just got trolled. So, it's all good from my pov.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostI think you all just got trolled by KC.
And there is a case to be made that Bowie was a crappy person. A strong case. So it's worth discussing.PLesa excuse the tpyos.
