First Blood is a really good movie, and very rewatchable. Rocky is super slow, and kind of boring to rewatch 35 years
later. Rocky 2 and/or 3 are far superior films

Rocky is a drama placed within a sports context, not a sports film where the drama centers around the game. IMO this is what causes you to think it's slow. It's not about the fight w/ Apollo.
