Just watched it at the imax 3D. The acting could have been better but overall I liked it. As someone already mentioned, the cgi is excellent. Even though you your brain knows it's fake, the cgi isn't super over done like the transformer movies. In a nutshell, it's worth seeing if you like action. And it's definitely worth watching on an imax screen.Comment

I would say it was the legitimate child. I usually can't stand this kind of movie, and didn't make it through the first Transformers movie, but Guillermo del Toro's creation won me over.
