Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

This is a link to Spotify for Marcy Playground's version of this song. It's the one I like best. The emotion in his voice is there and it doesn't sound forced.
I've actually paid attention to the lyrics of the verses, and that is one helluva sexy song.
That's very good.'There was a time, when you let me know
What's really goin on below
But now you never show it to me, do ya?
Remember when I moved in you
And the Holy Dove was moving too
And every breath we drew was Hallelujah?'"Wuap's "problem" is that he is smart & principled & committed to a moral course of action. His actions are supposed to reflect his ethical code.
The rest of us rarely bother to think about our actions." --Solon

It does what the best erotic songs do, which is to blur the line between unbridled carnality and religious devotion. For the mystic/lover, the line can get pretty fine. That is, I think, the point (which Cohen understood very well).Originally posted by wuapinmon View PostThis is a link to Spotify for Marcy Playground's version of this song. It's the one I like best. That said, I think it's either ballsy or foolhardy to cover this song anymore. It's like trying to recite the "To Be or Not to Be" soliloquy in Hamlet and make it your own when everybody already knows it, or thinks they do. You have to be either a genius or a fool.Nothing lasts, but nothing is lost.
