I don't get the hate. She has an interesting voice and sings with emotion but without sentimentality. Certainly not preferable to an eardrum injury, IMO.

I like Adele. I don't get the hate. I get why she might not be your cup of tea, and I probably won't be downloading/buying any of her music, but I don't change the station immediately when she comes on the radio either.

I've caught an enormous amount of shit from my students for saying that I don't like Mary J. Blige. I get that she's talented, I just don't like her talent. So, I understand not liking Adele. I think IPU's gift for hyberbolic hate is somehow charming.

And her voice is unique and soulful and fills a void in popular music.

But I get that not everyone loves her.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Frankly I don't think you have the balls to puncture your eardrum with a carpenter's awl. Prove me wrong.

The thing that amazed me the most about Adele was the contrast between her powerful emotive singing voice and that horrible cockney speaking voice. It is hard to believe those two things are combined in a single human.
                  PLesa excuse the tpyos.

very thick Brooklyn accent. and then she sings and it's this divine sound.

It is a shame you were not serenaded by the dulcet strains of your favorite band, Nickleback, while running errands with your wife, for then you would have been happier.
