I love her voice. It's full of soul and works well with the bluesy type of music she sings. I don't like 19 much but I've listened to 21 quite a bit. Fire to Rain is an excellent song and you can't beat the Somebody Like You video shots (but the overall production of the video is lacking).

When I first heard "Someone Like You" on the radio, it reminded me too much of Jewel (who really does grate on me). After listening to the song all the way through, I liked it more and more.

Am I the only one here who wants to puncture their eardrums with a carpenter's awl when her music is being played?

Yes. Or, I guess not... but I want to hear from women on this one. Not just men.

Perhaps it's because I came across her when my heart was demolished, but she writes about love in some of the most honest ways, and someone who isn't afraid to express how hurtful and painful it is (without sounding like a 13-year old like Taylor Swift) is a rare thing. And her voice is unique and soulful and fills a void in popular music.

But I get that not everyone loves her.
