Did Han or Greedo Shoot First?

I didn't read the whole thread, so sorry if this has been covered, but not only did Han shoot first, he shot last. Greedo shooting at Han to make Han appear more pious b/c he was shooting in self defense-- George Lucas' special brand of revisionist bullshit.

Isn't Greedo supposed to be an enforcer who works for a very powerful... uh dude (whatever Jabba is). Not only does Greedo shooting first ruin Han Solo's character arc, it's simply not believable that somebody paid to rough people up would miss so terribly from point blank range.

Lucas just has a terrible sense of story. The more he messes with the movies, the worse they get. It seems that this is borne out in "Red Tails", for which the consensus seems to be that it's kiddie-level cliche-ridden trash.

Yep. Lucas is the guy who's had his butt kissed long enough that he believes he's infallible. I just saw ep 1 in 3d and he messed w it AGAIN by making yoda cgi rather than a puppet. What a dick. Doesn't he realize the best things in the star wars universe were made by people other than himself? (The empire strikes back, Samurai Jack creator's clone wars cartoon shorts that were a prequel to ep. III, and certain CGI action sequences in ep III done by Spielberg, etc...) Dude needs to pass the torch already. The song DIO by tenacious d needs to apply to Lucas.

This is where I am. I have no idea what was intended and I don't care but they were point blank range and the only way Han would have avoided serious injury or death is if Greedo never fired a shot.
