So my friends and I created a mix tape that we believed was 'calculated' to make women make out with us. It was holy item among us, and as any weekend approached, we would discuss then decide who among us had plans that were worthy of "The Play Tape." The mix included at least two songs by U2, including With or Without You and Running to Stand Still. Also, the tape worked.

So here is my question to everyone here --

What songs would you all put on a Play Tape today?
There's one song that would unequivocally belong on there: Die Without You from P.M. Dawn. Though I'm not especially skilled in this area anymore, I know this song is the ultimate counterclockwise swirl.

The rest of the tape would be a total bore because I don't know any decent love song that's come out over the past decade. For example, it would also include Clapton's live version of "Wonderful Tonight" and the aforementioned "With or Without You." I would spice up the middle of it with Tom Jones's 1999 masterpiece "Sex Bomb."

Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

But I'm sort of curious about what would go on a Play Tape TODAY. What would be 'calculated' to drive our contemporary teenagers to 'play?'
Some songs that are a decade or two old will work pretty well. Also, this decade doesn't hold a candle to the 80s or 90s as far as love songs go.
