BTW, couldn't a game developer incentivize the geeks to create levels if the geeks were to make, say, $1 per download? Couldn't they sell the maps for about $3 and the other 2/3 goes to platform's network (XBL or PSN) and the game developer? Didn't Black Ops and MW2 sell 20 million copies each?

Modding and level creation is common enough in PC gaming and fans do it for free for the most part.

Yes, I got it.

If you don't have inFamous, get that. The game is a little buggy at times and some of the missions are repetitive, but it's pretty fun. More importantly, inFamous 2 is coming out this week and IGN gave it a 9.0. Supposedly, stuff you do in the first game carries over into the second, but I could be wrong. The game is coming out this week.

As for the remaining games, meh. Wipeout HD is pretty good, but it's basically an F-Zero clone, so if you're not into racing games then you won't play it. LBP's contribution-- giving tools to players to create their own worlds/levels for the game-- will be a much bigger deal with some other game that's a lot more fun to play. Imagine if someone were able to do that with a game like MW2. There are enough geeks that would create some really fun maps, you would have a ton of additional content out there. LBP itself is not very fun at all.

I got an email today from PSN saying that they are giving me the choice of two free PS3 games (or two PSP games, or 60 days of PSN Plus) free. Has anyone else seen this?

Grrrrrrr.... I didn't get that email, and I have received other PSN emails. What gives?

I don't know, but log into the PSN store and there should be a screen that offers you the two free games. I just did and downloaded inFAMOUS. However, I somehow screwed up the second game and now the option to download it has disappeared.
