I watched Low cover Toto's Africa on this thing today.

not bad, but sort of falls apart in the solos. No one can cover greenwood.

Had same thought. The majority was pretty cool, but the solos were just painful.

I have no idea who Sarah Jarosz is (well, I looked her up and she's a bluegrass artist), but her cover of The Tourist is fantastic.

Yeah, pretty awful. I think they realized that they couldn't get close to them so they just made something else up instead. It wouldn't be so bad if they hadn't stayed so close to the original in the rest of the song.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

                  • A.V. Club has a cool series with bands covering songs in the A.V. Chicago offices. I think my favorite is They Might Be Giants cover of Chumbawumba. Low also does a fantastic job with Africa by Toto.

                    • Joseph Gordon-Levitt played a concert in Seattle two nights ago at a small venue pretty close to my house and I didn't even know about it.

He did a cover of Lithium.

                      • If I went to a JG-L concert, instead of clapping after every song I would stand up and do this:

Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock
