I've been told that Weezer is the epitome of crappy grunge, but I think they're awesome.
    Are you trying to threadjack?
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

I know we had this disagreement discussion in another thread, but lets play the old Sesame Street game- which of these is not like the other?

      a) Kings of Leon
      b) Killers
      c) Coldplay
      d) Muse

I'd say Muse, based on superior technical ability and lack of a true radio hit, unlike the other 3. Not that I'm much a fan of Muse.

D - Muse. The only Truthers of the four. Although I wouldn't put it past that smug Chris Martin.

I will say D, but somehow I think Art intended the answer to be C.

I'll jump on the threadjack. I think Weezer's most underrated (and in my opinion the best) album is Pinkerton. I don't think any of the songs got much radio play. Post 2000 Weezer is kind of crappy grunge-pop.

Seemed like a random aside about Weezer that didn't have much to do with the question of the thread. Maybe I missed something, though.

                      Nope, you were right.

See, look what you did, Redsox!

(btw, I think we've moved past the point of thinking Pinkerton is underrated in any sense)

Coldplay's a little out of place, i know. But my music tastes are pretty limited. That's all i got. And I've heard others group them together before.

Do you wish I would have included U2?

I don't think singles helped Smashing Pumpkins post-Siamese Dream, either. They have hundreds of brilliant songs nobody will ever hear because of the image Virgin Records used to launch them into the stratosphere.

KT Tunstall. That is a name that most of you don't know, but you have probably all heard Black Horse & Cherry Tree, which is a novelty song that is only impressive because of the novelty of her using some sort of loop recording and playing a bunch of instruments which became popular in the US when Katherine McFee sang it on American Idol. Also "Suddenly I See" was everywhere for a while (lots of commercials).

Most have not heard the songs of hers I love like "Other Side of the World" and "Heal Over."

Did they not play "Uprising" on the radio in Utah? That was every pop and/or rock station in Vegas for about 6 months.
