    Indeed she is! She even made Thomas look sympathetic! And he's pretty mean himself.

    AH, I wasn't paying that much attention in the first season apart from listening for zingers from the Dowager and hoping to see a comic interlude of Mr. Carson running around in a gorilla suit or leading the help in a ministry of silly walks.

    Didn't they have the same discussion just prior to the wedding (and reach the same conclusion)? Also, Mary has good reason to dislike Edith, if you remember back to Season 1. She doesn't strike me as the forgiving type.
