Here's an RSVP code for the new comedy Cedar Rapids: XENSXMB3. Go to www.gofobo.com and enter that in to get passes to a free screening at the Gateway in Salt Lake next Tuesday, the 22nd.
Kids in general these days seem more socially retarded...

None of them date. They hang out. They text. They sit in the same car or room and don't say a word...they text. Then, they go home and whack off to internet porn.

I think that's the sad truth about why these kids are retards.

There are tons of offers for free screenings here in L.A., which I suppose is very convenient, since the industry is located here, but why Utah? Is Utah considered to be a bellwether state for the typical middle-American audience? Or are these screenings happening all over the country, and I just haven't lived in enough places to notice? They certainly weren't happening in the NE when I lived in CT.

It must have gone fast because it is asking for a RSVP code now...

They're happening in all major cities for almost all major releases. Most of them are the same screenings the local film critics are attending. On top of that, Salt Lake is just a big moneymaker for "tent pole" film releases. I know that last year, a bunch of the management for the Larry Miller theaters got flown out to the premiere of the new Harry Potter movie as a "thank you" for being the #1 grossing theater in the country for the previous Potter flick.

The preview looked awful. But for free? Why not?

Unless she does a sex scene with Virginia Madsen, I'm not interested. Let's face it--Ms. Seyfried has set the bar high.

Careful Funk! That way madness lies! It's that same logic that led me to view such cinematic classics as The Musketeer and The Glass House. Don't remember them? Exactly.

Having said that...um...I'll still probably see you there.

Oh, I remember The Musketeer. Actually, mostly I only remember who awful it was. Still, this show looks right up my wife's alley, so i tried to grab the free pass, but they were gone.
