I agree with this...I really enjoyed LoneStar but it did not feel like network tv. It felt like they could have pushed it a bit further and put it on HBO or FX or something...oh well...

On a somewhat related note, I felt like it moved too fast. This is an odd complaint from me, as usually I'm found complaining that they aren't developing the plot fast enough.

Think about it, though. Through two episodes, the protagonist had already been faced multiple times with the three primary conflicts in the show: 1) being discovered by his wives, 2) being discovered by his wives' families, and 3) his dad not buying into his new life. I didn't really see where else the show could head. It felt like it was was going to retread those same three conflicts every episode, as opposed to a longer-developing conflict that ran the entire season.

It also felt hokey that, by episode 2, this guy had already misplaced one of his two phones. That was definitely rushed, as the writers should have allowed us at least 4-5 episodes to learn how meticulous he is with his multiple phones/wallets situation before using that as a plot device.

I actually agree with that...I really think that they felt that they needed to do things quick to try and hook people but if it had made it, it could have hurt it as the season progressed.

I think if it was on cable, it could have slowly developed it through it all. You are right, let the season progress and let one or two things start to unravel a bit and then have him fight thru it all.

I saw one Hawaii Five-0, enjoyed it, taped the rest, haven watched it again since. I need to get back to that.

I enjoy Outsourced but it is a hit and miss for me, much like Community. Recent Community episode that focused on Shirley and Chevy Chase...the movie within a movie concept....ugh. Awful. They need to get rid of those two characters. Outsourced is getting better and I am finding Asha to be quite...er....distracting....the Aussie chick is distracting, too.

Is anyone still watching the Office? is it still awful? I saw a promo for the return of Jan, which should have been enough to get me to watch again since I think Melora Hardin is pretty...er....distracting...

Enjoyed the live 30 Rock episode. If you did not see it, definitely worth watching on Hulu. Lots of guest spots and very interesting vibe watching the show live.

I've seen the first 2 episodes of The Event, and I like it. Sarah Roemer (sp?) is foxy. I haven't watched beyond 2 out of fear it would get discontinued (initial ratings were low, but have improved, from what I understand). I hate getting into something only to have it chopped.

Looks like Running Wilde is on life support. Wasn't picked up for a full Fall run, so they will air out the rest of the 12 or 13 left and then see whats what.

Also, Outsourced is playing major bump and grind with Parks and Rec. I know it is in limbo through mid-season but you wonder where it will return once they come back. Thurs night for NBC is jammed.

Running Wilde hasn't been great but I think it has potential. Outsourced, on the other hand, is just dreadful and the thought that it is keeping the current best comedy around off the air is maddening.

Any show that manages to ruin two classic rock songs--Start Me Up and Livin' On a Prayer--officially stinks.

For one thing, the glee version manages to destroy the masculinity in both songs. Like an alien vacuuming your brain, all of the grit and swagger in these songs has been cleaned out.

When Mick sings start me up, there's a raw appetite in the lyrics with which guys can identify. When Jon and Richie hit the high notes, they aren't in falsetto and so the song isn't robbed of its strength, of its stretching for transcendence.

Glee is about emasculating rock songs.

I hope its ratings plummet.

If it makes you feel any better, I think that Glee emasculated Rocky Horror on its recent Halloween show.
