Just to play off the songs thread, I have a list of albums that I can listen to straight through and I never, ever get tired of hearing them. The difference with an album as opposed to a song is that an album not only has to have great songs, but the songs have to flow together from one to the next. The songs usually have to provide enough diversity of sound so the album doesn't just sound like the same song over and over again (this is why I dislike The Joshua Tree, but that is another thread).
Anyway, here is my list of albums that I never get tired of hearing:
1. OK Computer - Radiohead (by far my favorite album of all time)
2. Yankee Hotel Foxtrot - Wilco (perhaps the best album from a pure sound perspective; this one became a whole new experience when I listened to it using head phones)
3. Houses of the Holy - Led Zeppelin (diversity in song abound as well as awesome lyrics, fabulous guitar riffs, and beautiful melodies)
4. Kid A - Radiohead (cool album but not quite up to par with OKC since it seems they were trying way too hard; very different album with headphones as well)
5. The Hour of Bewilderbeast - Badly Drawn Boy (very cool sounds in a lot of these songs; having a song titled "Pissing in the Wind" also is very cool)
6. Dulcinea - Toad the Wet Sprocket (I have no idea why this one is on here other than I love listening to this album on Saturday morning while making breakfast)
