is it really good? Just from the preview I thought it may be disturbing seeing kids killing or something. Maybe that's just the way it was cut. What is the vibe? I'm pretty sure Donut is more easily offended than me, though, so...

I don't think you'd find it any more disturbing than the typical gory action flick (unless you watch a lot of "My Friends, Tigger and Pooh", since the young girl is the voice of Darby on that cartoon. It took me a while to stop thinking of Darby when she spoke). The violence is pronounced, in an almost humorous way (but not quite Kill Bill pronounced, if that makes sense.) But go see and let me know how (in?)correct my disturbance barometer is.

Next time you watch Pooh I'll bet you'll be expecting Darby to drop an F-bomb every few sentences too.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

So what youre saying is, if I loved Evil Dead and Evil Dead II, Shaun of the Dead, Zombieland and Fargo, I'd love this movie?

We did eventually go see this on Saturday and loved it. It is not for the faint of heart, but it is very clever and Hit-Girl stole the show. She was awesome.
Spoiler for Funny scenes and very naughty language:
It took me a good minute to get the tears out of my eyes when she makes her first appearance, having just stabbed a guy through the heart from behind and looks at the room full of bad guys and says "Okay you cunts... Let's see what you can do now!" Or when Kick-Ass asks her how he can get a hold of here and she says "You just contact the mayor's office. He has a special signal he shines in the sky; it's in the shape of a giant cock."

Nicholas Cage doing Adam West was pretty funny too.

Alright, I saw this last night and my initial skepticism proved unwarranted. This movie was ridiculously entertaining. I nearly cried with laughter when I realized Nicolas Cage was doing a full on Adam West impression when in costume.
Kids in general these days seem more socially retarded...

None of them date. They hang out. They text. They sit in the same car or room and don't say a word...they text. Then, they go home and whack off to internet porn.

I think that's the sad truth about why these kids are retards.

I located this movie in a discount theater and finally saw it.

It was AWESOME. I really enjoyed it. Darby definitely stole the show. The movie reminded me a lot of Wanted which I also loved. I must have a very deeply suppressed violent streak because watching this kind of stuff is surprisingly cathartic for me.
