Band of Brothers is in my top 3 favorite TV shows ever (although it's more like a movie; I never know how to classify this sort of thing), so I'm greatly looking forward to the Pacific.

Well, the series is off to a nice start. I loved the speech by the Marine commander stateside before they shipped out. Very moving.
I wonder how many episodes will feature Guadalcanal? Fighting in the jungle would be awful. Much more of that to come I am sure.

really enjoyed last night. I was glad that we got some combat in episode 1. Night fighting with tracer rounds gave you a feel for terror of fighting.I intend to live forever.
