So is anyone running an Oscar pool?Kids in general these days seem more socially retarded...
None of them date. They hang out. They text. They sit in the same car or room and don't say a word...they text. Then, they go home and whack off to internet porn.
I think that's the sad truth about why these kids are retards.

Yes, I am too new to even venture an opinion (although many will tell you I've been living on the edge too long and my new calling is a way to reign me in)Originally posted by PaloAltoCougar View PostBut stay away from Bishop McClain; he's too new to want to venture out to the edge.
. But I must say that I stopped watching the Oscars the year Shakespeare in Love won over Saving Private Ryan (quite possibly the biggest travesty in Oscar history). I'm not big on long winded thank you speeches. I prefer the old days when George C. Scott boycotted his Oscar; Marlon Brando sent a Native American woman to read his speech, and David Niven made snide remarks about the streaker.
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.

Aside from the Neil Patrick Harris song nonsense, and the dancing to the first two songs (the rest seemed on theme), and Clooney's weird "stop-looking-at-me look," I liked it. Hanks' delivery was great.
I thought that Tarantino deserved the Best Screenplay nod."Wuap's "problem" is that he is smart & principled & committed to a moral course of action. His actions are supposed to reflect his ethical code.

I thought the tributes to the best actors and actresses was pretty nauseating.Originally posted by wuapinmon View PostAside from the Neil Patrick Harris song nonsense, and the dancing to the first two songs (the rest seemed on theme), and Clooney's weird "stop-looking-at-me look," I liked it. And given that best picture is the big award of the night, it seemed pretty unceremonious. I guess they showed all the films throughout the show, but by the time they got to it Hanks just announced the category and ripped the thing out of the envelope in no time flat.So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

I thought the prettiest dress was worn by the woman who handed people the envelopes. That shade of yellow was just lovely.Originally posted by Babs View PostIs there anybody else who just likes to gawk, somewhat dumbfounded, at the mindblowing fashon missteps?
