How many have you seen?

How many of the Best Picture nominees have you seen? A week or so before the Oscars, I'll put up polls to vote for each of the major categories.

All except Avatar, which holds little appeal to me and Mrs. Viking.

We loved Abrazos Rotos and felt it should have been nominated. Must see.

I always try and make a point to see all of the best pic nominees. Gidget and me have done it the last couple of years. But I have not seen a single movie on this year's list. The last movie I saw in the theater was Star Trek.

I think District 9 is one of the most underrated movies from last year. Interesting allegory on race. But I am also particularly interested in Precious. According to my Netflix cue in releases in a couple weeks.

Have you see Boden and Fleck's other film Half Nelson? Another great one.

I can name on one hand the movies I have enjoyed that were nominated. If it doesn't make me laugh, I don't want to watch it. Two notable exceptions to this are Braveheart and Saving Private Ryan.

I can't vote, as I've seen none of them and I can't vote unless I choose one.

I'm with cowboy, but a bit more spiteful in my movie choices. I rarely see any movies in a theater or pay per view and see only a smidgen more via renting a DVD.

You would love the Hurt Locker. Unless you're in the mood to take some shrooms and freak out, then I would recommend avatar.

Since I got home from my mission in '97, I have tried every year to see all the Best Picture nominees and most of the acting nominees (although, to this day, I have still not seen CHOCOLAT.) This year I've seen 8 of the 10 and my wife saw BLIND SIDE with some friends. We are planning to see UP IN THE AIR this weekend to complete the list.

As far as the acting nominations, I doubt I'm going to get to A SINGLE MAN or THE LAST STATION. Maybe Netflix?

Anyone seen any of the Documentary or Foreign categories?
