Something I don't like about AI is that the contestants sing for only 90 seconds. In Britain's Got Talent, they sing the whole song. Susan Boyle's full rendition of I Dreamed a Dream is the most famous example. I wonder which pattern Simon Cowell's new show next year, The X-Factor, will follow.Comment

I thought it was kinda funny that the girl wearing a wig sang to Simon about Rogaine. Actually, I just kinda thought her wig was funny. I fully expect a cancer-survivor back story about her once we get to Hollywood week.

That version of "Straight Up" was pretty awesome. Easily as clever as anything Adam or Kris did last year. IMO AI has sucked this year. I usually stop watching after Hollywood week because the part I enjoy more than singing is people getting crushed. The auditions were pretty boring this year, and showed far less good and bad auditions than in previous years. Last night Hollywood featured like 10 singers? The dude singing Straight Up was good. If my boys hadn't gotten into the show this year I would probably not be watching anymore.Get confident, stupid
