        Love that you put a Flying Burrito brothers clip!

        Some good stuff in there. People hear "country" and think the commercial-country-pop stuff, but clearly the idea of country is more expansive than that. A lot of bands I like have a country inflection to them.

        And Dan, I hope you don't mean anything associated with Nashville. Since you said "machine," I'm going to take that as a no. Nashville has such a great and rich history to it. Hell, even Jack White's label is based there.
        So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

          "my" church (which I haven't attended in maybe two years) had a worship band. It's an attempt to de-formalize the service, to try and tear down the barriers that prevent visitors from stepping through the door. I also like how it brings more energy to the service when the talent and numbers required for an up-tempo gospel choir aren't available.

          I know this thread is about personal taste, and I respect and recognize that you don't care for them, I'm just offering a counter point-of-view.
